37th AGM of BGMEA held: President calls for govt support to tackle Covid impacts

BGMEA President Dr. Rubana Huq called upon the government to extend the time limit to repay their loans under the stimulus package announced for export-oriented industries.

She also urged the government to consider another stimulus package to help the industry survive the impacts of a possible second Covid-19 wave.

She made the call at a press conference following the 37th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of BGMEA held virtually on 7 December 2020. 

The BGMEA President answered the questions of journalists. The question-answer session was moderated by Chairman of BGMEA Standing Committee on PR Khan Moniurl Alam Shuvo.
