BGMEA-BUFT Journalism Fellowship 2015
Six journalists from print media, TV, online and radio were awarded BGMEA-BUFT Journalism Fellowship-2015. Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed handed over awards and cheques to the Fellows at a program held at Noorul Quader auditorium of BGMEA Complex on 12 November. BGMEA President Md. Siddiqur Rahman chaired the fellowship award giving ceremony and announced the names of the Fellows selected by a three-member Board of Mentors.

BGMEA BUFT Journalism Fellows' study tour to Netherlands
BGMEA and the Netherlands Embassy in Dhaka jointly organized a study tour to the Netherlands for 6 Fellows of the BGMEA-BUFT Journalism Fellowship program.
The study tour styled “Influentials Programme for Bangladesh: Garment Industry and Journalism” took place from 6-8 February 2017 in Amsterdam and Hague.

Bangladesh Embassy in Netherlands hosted dinner for BGMEA Fellows
The Fellows of the BGMEA-BUFT Journalism Fellowship visited the Netherlands as part of their study tour, jointly organized by BGMEA and the Dutch Embassy in Dhaka.
During the study tour the Bangladesh Embassy in the Netherlands hosted a dinner for the Fellows, Mohammed Nasir, Vice President (Finance), BGMEA, and Mentors of the Fellowship program.
Sheikh Mohammed Belal, Bangladesh Ambassador in the Netherlands, informed the delegation about the activities undertaken by the Embassy to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries. The Ambassador said that Embassy will provide cooperation to Bangladeshi journalists if they want to pursue higher studies in journalism in the Netherlands.

BGMEA-BUFT Journalism Fellowship 2014
The media play an important role in the economic development of a country through constructive reports on development plans and policies. Only skilled and professional journalists can play such crucial role. Keeping the fact in mind, Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) and BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT) jointly announced BGMEA-BUFT Journalism Fellowship-2014for the journalists working in Bangladesh. The objective of the Fellowship is to help journalists to develop their professional skills.
Six journalists working in Bangladeshi print and electronic media were awarded for the BGMEA-BUFT Journalism Fellowship 2014 in six categories: Bangla daily, English daily, TV channel, online news portal,weekly, andregional daily. Under the guidance and supervision of the three Mentors, each fellow prepared in-depth reports on the readymade garment industry of Bangladesh during their 3-month fellowship program.
